lost, yay!!!!!

I got to see the season premiere of Lost !!!! Yay !!!! I’d like to thank very much the persons that made that possible. And in fact I watched the episode twice. Once with my two newly addicted friends (because of my influence of course) and then one by myself, 8 cm from the screen, looking for every single detail and making caps at the same time. I was kinda distracted by my friends during the first viewing (the three of us were all so excited about the episode... a lot of squeeing was heard).

Example:
‘Hey, C. (one of the friends), guess what.’
‘What?’
‘Just guess, okay?’
‘...’
‘I have a surprise.’
‘Wait wait wait... what’s the day today? Is it the 22nd, so yesterday was the 21st?’
‘Yep.’
‘OMGOMGOMG!!!’

Now I know it’s quite stupid to make a Lost post as everyone did it and what new thing could I bring to the discussion but I just have to... and I even included caps to illustrate my points. I’ve only read a couple of your reactions to the eppy so sorry if this sounds like repeat sometimes. But I do do this with my own silliness.



At first I had trouble to realize that it was indeed Lost that I was watching... and I was distracted at the moment where we see the opening on his eye so I kept wondering if it was Lost lol. And this guy looked so unfamiliar! I knew it wasn’t one of ‘our’ guys because of his torso (I won’t talk about his hair, because this episode is yet again the proof that to make the viewer see that it’s a flashback, you just put more hair on your guy). Now is it normal to be able to recognize the actors of your favorite show by looking at their torso?

But then, being normal is kinda boring, isn’t it?

Now how does this guy get his fresh fruits and dish-washing soap? Maybe he has a storage room or sth... after all I think he uses milk powder and that can be very well stored...
And what is up with the angry smiley ???



then I see Numbers everywhere (even on the freakin’ bike counter thing that oscillates between 15 and 16 or when he opens the lock – maybe 23 and 42 ? but not sure). And also... biggest syringe ever, is that thing used for elephants or sth?





This opening sequence is fabulous by its direction imho when we follow the tricks used by the guy to watch the hatch and then the final shot bringing back one of the final scenes of season 1 with Locke and Jack and the Hatch, wow!!!

Note for myself : never eat again while watching Lost. I almost choke on a tomato when we see the first glimpse of Jack with his wig. Seriously, I have to icon this.



So there are two ways of making a character younger : more hair (Jack, Locke) or a silly hat (Michael, Charlie).

Flashbacks :
For once I agreed with Jack’s Dad, which surprised me, because I had given him the title of Worst Adviser in the World. Sarah’s ex-future husband is a jerk. Desmond is mysterious... and I dunno but you can feel he’s lying... and his accent is weird, I’m not an expert in English-language accents but this sounded like Scottish to me, except the lack of rrrrrrrrrrrr. (based on my Boyd-McGregor knowledge).

I’m still not a Jack fan but Matthew Fox is just awesome. I can’t help crying whenever he cries. Very touching, Foxy.



I didn’t notice the Rutherford thing before someone brought it up on a French board... do you think we could link Locke to the same hospital too ? After all he was paralyzed too. I made a cap of Jack’s nametag to have the name of the hospital lol.



The scene with Walt and Shannon is scary. I know Walt is supposed to say sth about buttons but maybe the writers are only playing tricks with us. I like BadHairDay !Shannon.

Charlie, I love you but stop telling people they’re lunatic. And be patient with the Red Shirts lol.






WTH is Kate ?
And the raft people ?

Hahaha and finally, there’s a debate on a French board that made me laugh, it’s about the shoes that Jack sees... they think there are Locke’s and they even showed caps of Locke when Jack meets him to show that he’s only wearing socks but the quality of the pics is not good enough to say if he’s wearing socks or not. And now there are silly theories about why Locke took his shoes off lol.

Examples :
- he’s just a polite man
- the shoes have the sickness !!!
- he just took a shower and now Kate is so that’s why she’s not there
- it’s because of Desmond’s religion
- he didn’t want to make any noise

Only Lost fans can write 2 pages in a thread about socks... but then I remember reading an essay about the symbolics of socks in HP so...

Oh and the magnetic field thing ? I dont know anything about physics but could it make electricity, enough to run all this place’s equipment ? Is that why Locke’s compass was ‘broken’ ?

And Hurley rocks my socks (no pun intended lol)

wow, that was the best review of the episode I've yet seen! :D Caps included, it's way more fun. And yeah, the opening scene, the numbers are EVERWHERE. he types them on the computer, 42 is the last number of the safe, they're all over the place.

yeah actually I didn’t mention 108 but that was one of the things that I noticed right away (and I screamed in my head because I didn’t want to look like a crazy person in front of my friends lol)
