I'm going to Paris tomorrow and will only be back on Monday so the poll will be on hiatus like me until then. We're going to the Jules Verne Festival which will not be as epic as last time with the LOST and BSG events but epic nonetheless as Mark Hamill is gonna be there to celebrate The Empire Strikes Back 30th anniversary. Not sure about our exact program yet. Will also do a bit of shopping and visit some friends.

I'm probably gonna update my twitter (@_emeline) a lot though.

Ugh I really suck at updating more.

I have a few hours to kill before the Battleship game at teamgalactica so there you go.

What should I update about? Absolutely nothing is going on in my job search right now, other than me sending applications and feeling frustrated as usual.

Still looking for ways to keep busy in a useful way, I'm trying to learn a bit of Spanish again (studied it at school for 9 years! well not that many hours a week but still, I'm so bad at it vs English) by teaching myself a bit of vocabulary everyday and I bought a couple of short stories books because reading+TV+movies is how I learned English so it should work for other languages too!

Speaking of books, I'm reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society right now and loving it. I'd never wondered about what happened to the Channel Islands during WWII. Of course the answer is "terrible things". But there's also hope and friendship and love of books. So this book is making me smile and cry, which is a good sign by my standards.

Oh, and I wanted to talk about Caprica because the mid-season finale was craaaaazy.

My parents are arriving soon. If I disappear for a few days it'll be because they're there and the moving out and at some point I'll have to terminate my internet contract.

This weekend... I cooked! I made a kind of quiche with courgettes, tomatoes, tuna (are you kidding me), emmental cheese... it was yummy! Well, and still is as I'm the only one home so I have to eat it for days. LMAO. It's kind of a big thing for me as I usually don't use the oven much because my hands are very sensitive to heat and I still could feel it through the oven-mitt I bought (which was not homemade or kintted).

Anyway... today at work the guy I share an office with is back from vacation, which means I have to be careful about writing my emails, especially when the conversation is really silly.

Like, when you're talking about Alessandro Juliani being a graduate of McGill University (omg! I was an Exchange student there!) => Bachelor of Music in Vocal/Opera Performance. And then someone says she hopes they make a BSG musical episode so that Gaeta and Gaius can sing the Elephant Love Medley from Moulin Rouge. Yes, THIS. And then you argue about who's the girl and who's the boy. ( ... and a few polls )

You know which Tv show I like but never talk about? Bones. I watch it on French TV and I didn't really like it at first, I was whining that it was yet another crime show but my parents liked it so... and now I like the characters very much, Brennan is so funny with her non-existant life, lack of cultural references but knowledge of random stuff. Also, it has a lot of humor, which is rare for a crime show! Oh and yes of course David Boreanaz ^^
In the 3 episodes I saw today I managed to spot that-Marshall-who-want-to-catch-Kate-from-Lost (Fredric Lane I think), Liam Fitzpatrick from VM and squeeeeeeeeeeee Adam Baldwin!!! I almost started singing "the man they call Jayne".

Had a great weekend so far.

- last night and today with my friends was great, we had a lot of fun about silly things and drank rum and ate a lot of things with maple syrup, including a "poutine" that was very weird
- woke up at 11:15 am because my cell phone rang, I didn't answer but some guy left a message saying I had sent him a CV and that I could call him back. The thing is, I have no idea who he is (name was no familiar) and he didn't say which company he was from! I don't even know if it's for an internship or a job... And anyway, WHO calls you about your CV at 11:00 am on a SATURDAY? I didn't have any of my things with me, so I thought I'd call back on Monday, I fell it's more appropriate!
- football game was great!!! we won! And played well! But missed a penalty kick, again. And I've realized that I didn't have any favorite player in the team as the best ones had left but now I have one. Julio Hernan Rossi is made of awesome.
- tonight I'm sleeping one hour more because it's Winter Time day
- tomorrow my brother and his family are spending the day at home, yay

I really hate French Rap music. Except IAM, the lyrics are very good, especially the third album and they had a song with a lot of references to Star Wars, that was so cool.
