1. I'm playing the new Professor Layton game on Nintendo DS and Luke gets to take care of a hamster for a minigame. The goal is to make the hamster exercise because he's fat. And they ask you to name the hamster. Guess how I called him. HINT.

2. Do you like BSG? And awesome icons? That are funny and pretty? Then go vote at [livejournal.com profile] starttheclock's epic 100th challenge! With categories such as Best powerful/well done death or Character Who Would Have the Best Blog!

3. I made 2 BSG fanvids in 3 days. O_o And I'm quite happy with them. The fact that I kept a lot of episodes as avi even though I have the DVDs and knows the show well enough to remember which scenes are more fitting from which episode makes the process much faster.

4. Scenes from the BSG finale with isolated score. Wow.

5. I took this test pretending I was a character from Lie to Me. Scored a bit above average.

6. The Darjeeling Limited is a great movie. It looks gorgeous and I loved the editing. And the music. Surprise!Joe Dassin! lol

7. Awesome pic of Michael Hogan channeling Saul Tigh, cute Twitpic of Alyson&Jason on the set of HIMYM, amazing LOST poster

8. Casting spoilers: I don't really care about the Chuck one and the Dollhouse one made me go "shocking! lolz but awesome"

9. VERY spoilery pics from The Big Bang Theory S3 premiere. LOL at their looks and a slice of DNW.

10. Christopher Moore is doing research for a book in Paris and his blogs are hilarious. Including a reference to Psych! (mispelled "Psyche" and Shawn is mispelled "Sean" but whatever)

Reposting from [livejournal.com profile] battlestar_blog because this is pretty amazing. Who cares about Emmys now? lol

A 'Battlestar Galactica' panel discussion at the United Nations

On March 17, there will be a "Battlestar" retrospective at the U.N. in New York and a panel discussion of how the show examined issues such as "human rights, children and armed conflict, terrorism and human rights and reconciliation and dialogue among civilizations and faith," according to Sci Fi.

The "Battlestar" contingent on the panel will consist of executive producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick, as well as stars Mary McDonnell (who plays president Laura Roslin on the show) and Edward James Olmos (Admiral William Adama).

UN representatives on the panel are Radhika Coomaraswamy, special representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict; Craig Mokhiber, deputy director of the New York office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights; and Robert Orr, assistant secretary-general for policy planning, executive office of the Secretary-General.

The panel will be moderated by "Battlestar" fan Whoopi Goldberg.

The invitation-only panel will take place at 7 p.m. March 17 in the U.N.'s Economic and Social Council Chamber, three days before the Sci Fi show's series finale.

A Sci Fi representative says that the network will record the session and a transcript will be made. "Once the content becomes available, we will let the fans know," the representative said.

Two more BSG links:
- report and videos of the premiere of the Battlestar music ballet in Hagen. It looks and sounds amazing. Diaspora Oratorio never fails to make me cry.
- [livejournal.com profile] benelie made "7 reasons to love our BSG boys" picspam (warning: may cause high body temperature)

ETA: New round for the Fandom Steel Cage Match March Madness! Mal lost the last round by FOUR votes. Damn.
My votes:
- Barney Stinson (that guy's awesome, and like I said before, Jon Stewart is NOT fictional, so his presence doesn't make sense in the 1st place)
- Seeley Booth (does House/Hugh Laurie need to win everything? boooooring)
- Ten (see? no revenge from me. Because I loooove Ten even though I voted for Mal last round. And does Spn need to win every internet poll ever? boooooring)
- Veronica, because she's the only female character left! And kicks ass. (ILU Spike, sorry)
