Movie Night

Watched two good movies last night...
First, a Quebecer movie called "La Grande Séduction" ("The Big Attraction"???) in which a small village in a small island needs a doctor to save it and they get one and try to "seduce" him to make him stay. That was really funny, even though I didn't understand everything because they have this accent and some strange expressions.
Then I finally watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It was 1:30 am so I said to myself "I only watch a bit of it" but I couldn't stop and watched all of it. I loved it! What a weird movie! This is so original and a good story! No wonder they won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay! And the actors are brilliant in it! I especially have a new-found respect for Jim Carrey. Please stop doing stupid movies and do serious ones like that. And Elijah! Is it normal that I squeed the first time he's on screen? And that although his character is despicable I still liked him?
I'm proud that the director Michel Gondry is French and I just did some research and found out he had directed some really good (by that I don't necessarily mean the music is good too! lol) music videos (I knew about "Around the World" by Daft Punk because Elijah said so in the RotK Easter Egg but there's also "Je danse le Mia" by IAM and "Come into my world" by Kylie Minogue).
