True Blood Fantasy Casting Call Poll

so superfrayed and I are still trying to pick our ideal Alcide and thanks to your suggestions I am now making a poll!

We have... 10 actors to choose from. Of course I'm including a reminder of what the character looks like and pictures of the candidates.

Note: this is fantasy casting. Who cares if said actor would never be on TV or is already on another show.



Description I included yesterday

He was huge. His eyes were green. His tousled hair was curly and thick and black as pitch. His brain buzzed and pulsed with energy; kind of a red effect. Werewolf.

Alcide Herveaux looked plenty tough. He was big as a boulder, with biceps that I could do pull-ups on. He would have to shave a second time if he planned on going out in the evening. He would fit right in on a construction site or a wharf.

He's protective and warm (vs the cold vampires) and likes leaning on walls while crossing his arms and is as tall as Eric (good luck with that). And can pull off a southern accent I guess, though this part can always be changed, or learned.

Oh and a few more things, I think Alcide is in his late 20's and Eric is 6' 4" (1.93 m) if you want to compare.

Seriously,why did they have to cast him as Stan (who looks completely different in the book anyway) when he could have been the perfect Alcide,who is even as tall as ASkars?!

I voted for Joe Manganiello 'cause that dude is BUILT, much like Alcide:) Plus, I think of the options listed, he's one of the only actors who'd be available. Tahmoh, Joshua, & Owain are series regulars on other shows and I doubt Jake or Channing would give up their movies roles for television. I LOVE JDM but I agree that he's a little too old to play Anna's potential love interest. And Colin is just not tall/built enough.

I'm sure there's another option but I just can't think atm :D
